Great concept and execution of the theme. Async multiplayer is underrated! Final time was 6:02 in my first attempt. One thing I considered was that if the leaderboards have many people replaying, then their times will obviously be much shorter. It could easily get to a point where it’s practically impossible to escape on your first attempt due to the state of the leaderboards. I’m not sure how you could prove it was someone’s first blind attempt to really keep the stakes high but fair.

Feedback:

  • I really liked the use of WASD + Arrows to emulate two-handed interactions. The slight input delay on the levers during the precision game was also nice and stressful.
  • The visuals were honestly *too* murky to the point I couldn’t really tell what I was looking at sometimes. This hurt the intentionality of the experience and led me to think less, click more.
  • Atmosphere and vibe is incredibly well-executed. The trap “HUD” does a LOT with a little. Great job.

Thank you for the kind words and feedback!  Regarding the concern of the leaderboard, that has been thoroughly thought through! The game doesnt pit you against the best scores, it pits you against the most recent scores, so the scores will be cycling out as more poeple play. And they wont necessarily be biasing upwards because even if someone tries to complete the game with a slow time and they get the bad ending, it will be saved anyways, which should self regulate the system!
