One of my favourites of the whole jam.

That desk is the best scene I've seen here. It's not a menu, it's a place: CRT with the game inside, a second monitor with the high score table, a working music player with track name and prev/pause/next, the STAY COZY mug, the lava lamp, the neon signs, the rainy city out the window. Lofi aesthetic done with real care.

And Word Blast actually works. Two "action" words on screen, letters turning green on both as I typed, then they blew up together and the score jumped 0 to 145. You feel rewarded for spotting the duplicate. That's a real twist on the typing game, not a skin.

Your page text is the jam's manifesto in three lines, too. Listing "fully playable offline" as a feature is exactly right.

One real note: the window is small and the words inside the CRT render tiny. I had to lean in to read "action" and "computer". In a typing game, reading the word is the whole game, so scaling the canvas with the window or bumping the font size would help a lot. Also, typing a full word in one burst didn't register for me, only key by key. Worth testing with fast typists.

Top tier, great work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed review! It genuinely made my day.

I’m really happy you noticed all the little details on the desk—that cozy setup was something I spent a lot of time on, so it means a lot that it stood out. I’m also glad you enjoyed the Word Blast mechanic. Seeing players discover the duplicate-word combo is exactly the kind of “aha!” moment I was hoping for.

And thank you for the constructive feedback as well. You’re absolutely right about the small window and font size, and I’ll also take another look at the input handling for fast typists. Since the jam has already ended, I’ll work on addressing these issues in a post-jam update.

Thanks again for playing, for the thoughtful review, and for all the kind words. Best of luck with your game in the jam! ❤️
