Creativity: Overall a pretty nice concept which adhered to the theme of the jam well! The dichotomy of having to balance finance with weight is interesting but doesn't seem to put that much of an impact on the game, I never felt like I was too heavy to complete a shopping trip in time. The enemy designs were visually appealing, but lacked a little variety in behaviour. I'd recommend adding a really weak enemy at the start that doesn't even try to move or dodge; then moving onto moving enemies.

Enjoyment: The game was enjoyable, I give each gamejam game 5 minutes to show me their vertical slice and 5 more if I enjoy the game. I played the game for fifteen minutes total so rest assured it kept my attention.

Narrative: Not much of a concrete narrative, but I get the overall vibe, you are spaceship you buy upgrades etc. There were no elements that created narrative dissonance.

Artwork: I have a weak spot for neon glowing aesthetics especially in 2D. I enjoyed the little details of polish such as the tred marks left by the robot and the way that bullets looked.

Audio: The fact it has sound and music certainly clears a hurdle a lot of entries don't tend to clear. The music wasn't too repetitive or grating, and the sound effects were punchy. My suggestion would be for the pitch of the sound to lower or heighten depending on the size of opponent you defeated.

Overall thoughts:

Great job Jackson! This is a pretty nice compact game.

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback!
