Agreed that the character controls well! I really like thid approach to a platformer - it’s a little puzzly. You have a lot of very powerful abilities that should make the levels easy, but because you have to ration them the difficulty comes back in. I also like the way the different buttons can combine to create unique abilities.
Only thing is, I found it a bit unwieldy at times using so many buttons, especially pairs like B and X which are not very easy to press together. I often found myself mistakenly pressing the wrong button pair, or pressing them in the wrong order, and rocketing myself into spikes or something. A simplification of the control scheme (and maybe reducing the amount of -10 secs spikes…) might help refocus the game onto the puzzle aspect, which I think is the strongest part.
Nice work overall! Loved the storybook intro too.
