I feel like there's something really special in the concept of this one! Combining troops with this movement puzzle has some great potential for something bigger, especially with the added layer where you also impact the enemy troops.

Yet, right now, the time pressure feels too punishing. The gameplay is pretty demanding and I feel like I would need way more time to think of the ideal combinations. But I understand that removing the timer could also push players to overthink their strategy and take away a layer of pressure. So it might just be a matter of balancing!
The pixel art is appealing but I found it to be a bit too chunky for my taste. Not just as a matter of aesthetics, but more so in the gameplay where I find my troops to be hard to read, I struggled to understand what they would represent, but also made it harder to figure which ones I could combine together.
Despite all that, like I said, I really think there's some potential! I would be curious to see how far you could push this idea further!

Congrats to the whole team!

Hi Roy! First, thanks a lot for the time you put into reviewing our game!
You provided very nice insight about the gameplay and art. We managed to test with limited movements rather than time limit, that would create a completely different experience and will be something to consider after the jam is over.

As for the art style I completely agree. I know what each of them represents but im staring at them for like 72 hours lol . Maybe with more animation, space between them and some more resolution would make it more readable without losing the chunkiness I aimed for.
