Tried all 3 classes.
Hunter is best, warrior is a very close second, and mage kinda sucks.
Never needed to touch a potion with hunter to get anything done. Warrior needed a bit of potion help. Potions couldn’t save mage unless I wanted to kite things for 800 years.
And most of it is down to the fact that the active skills do not change the classes at all.
- They all have a 10 mana, 3s cooldown, 150% (+10% per level) damage skill, this is the second most useful skill of every class, and is exactly why every class ends up building the same, to mixed success.
- Then their second skill is different but, useless on warrior, deals more base damage but scales the same, but for a higher mana cost, wouldn’t be useful until you get enough mana regen from equipment that there’s no harm in throwing it into the rotation. Still keep at lv 1, points better spent in first skill. Mage’s is okay for keeping them alive a bit longer but nothing really saves them from their gear stats. hunter’s second is completely useless.
- Their third skill is a buff skill. You level this up until it’s duration and your mana regen can keep it up 100% of the time. Hunter’s is the best, mage and warrior are still good though. (i usually get this to 26 before spending any more points into first skill)
- The fourth skills are all completely worthless. Mana cost too high, CD too long, damage too low. And even if fixed, AoE is kind of a nonbo in this game, and the single target ones suffer from a cast time. They all scale with level the same as the first skill, so just put your points in the first skill. Maybe in the absolute furthest of the latest of games you get 1 point into whichever one doesn’t have a cast time to fill the rotation if you somehow have an obscene amount of mana regeneration.
Now for equipment stats:
- Warrior seems to get a mix of just about every stat. Which is good. Makes finding what you want a little less consistent but still very fair.
- Mage, because of how I described the skills above, absolutely suffers. The other classes are just as good at using their skills as mage is. Yet mage struggles to get any attack speed to get regular attacks to be just as good as the others. The buff skill being pure damage helps, but it’s 30% compared to hunter’s 50% attack speed. Also struggle to find any worthwhile defensive stats on their armor pieces.
- Hunter tends to get more DPS orientated stats on their weapon, while still getting the same armor pieces as warrior. Finding attack speed and crit chance on a bow is highly likely and those are the two stats you need the most.
Mage is probably perfectly playable if you avoid botting, but, it’ll be a lot slower to progress and botting is the whole gimmick of the game.
