Well, the latest link you gave is not using the updated Scritch player with the changes I made. Make sure to refresh the editor, upload the .wav and download the .zip, and upload that .zip to itch.
Using the audio from the example you provided, following these steps it now works on my end. But I would like to confirm that it works on your end as well.
