I'm trying to use this, but the cursor pattern section is completely blank, but it seems like there should be options in there?

Hello!
When you say "blank", do you mean like this image?
If so, that is completely normal before you setup any patterns. Just double click the empty line on the "Cursor Patterns" array and it will open another window like the one below, where you can create your pattern.
Please be sure to read the help section to understand how patterns work and how they are activated!
