Absolutely astounding demo. I think it totally warrants invoking House of Leaves at the start. The way you position text, the different framing of the images, and the way you emulate a number of different media presentations is simply captivating. But I’m most appreciative of how it folds into your narrative; the various audiovisual technologies our two leads interact with, Rill’s preoccupation with the perception of herself and others, the way the landscape itself is memorabilia.

Our leads are very charming, you do a great job of selling their relationship quickly. Rill gets most of the depth and complexity as the POV character, here’s hoping we get more Ruby down the line (especially not filtered by Rill’s memories and image of her). The worldbuilding is also intriguing, the city is a real character, maybe the crown of the bunch, and I’m infinitely curious regarding Rain’s explanation of it and her workplace, alongside the shapeless.

I think the television segment is the best of the best. It fits in nostalgia and dread, warmth and loss, connection and memory, all behind a clear (unclear) image. Patiently anticipating the full release, with a whole lot of excitement!
