I also posted this as a rating.

I think this game has a good core. The characters are enjoyable, and their relationships with the MC feel good. I also think the development of each relationship feels right. The early visuals are very rough, as the intro truthfully states, but they do improve until chapter 5.

Now comes the criticism, though. The story is very long-winded and, for my taste, too grand. The relationship development and romance are quite overshadowed by the constant events that occur and a lot of lore and explanations. Let's be honest, I'm here for the girls, and it feels like there is a constant swap between grand story and relationship development. The two are not very well interspersed, in my opinion.

-- POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD --

Many relationship events feel out of order. The conversation between Natasha and Gianna was good, but the repeated "oh he is not my boyfriend" before and during that conversation feels weird. They are basically together, and a couple of scenes later they make it official. So if the labels are important to them... then they should have sorted that out earlier. Nothing about their feelings for each other changed. Also, they really not have sex after becoming a couple? Seems unlikely given how horny everyone always is.

Speaking of horny, everyone in the group has the hots for MC; there is constant teasing, but then barely anything happens. It doesn't really fit together. There is a one-month timeskip and no relationship development during all this time? Compared to how quickly everyone was infatuated with the MC, this feels out of place.

The "I'm not ready" lines are super boring. I get that it's an easy way to stretch out the relationship development, but give them a good reason; make it believable. They all have the hots for the MC, throw themselves at him, but are "not ready"?  Sorry, it's lame.

Overall I don't feel super invested in this story. There is quite a lot of story, which seems nice, but then the relationships develop at a snail's pace, and I'm just skipping through conversations with side characters that are not relevant for the interesting bits.

Hi! Thank you so much for the review/rating. Overall, I agree with you. A lot of the flaws from the early game come from my inexperience as a writer/story teller. There's a lot I want to change whenever I do get to remaking the game, but for now I want to focus on actually finishing the main story-line. At the end of the day, Eden is very much a project for me to learn, I never expected it to get this big. Definitely trying to figure out how to balance the relationship with the story since I completely agree, the main selling point of the genre is the relationships you can build with the ladies.

Yeah, keep going. If you want to revise the earlier parts, that's cool but not absolutely necessary right now.

By the way, the deciding factor for me to give your game a shot was the "C*ddling, k*ssing, h*nd-h*lding" tag. These little intimate interactions during the events of the story already go a long way to make the relationships believable and not just confined to individual lewd scenes. I also like the interaction between Natasha, Gianna, and the MC after his trip with Gianna. The conversation felt right, and it's good that he puts Natasha first and keeps her in the loop.

Thank you! I absolutely want to revisit it because yeah... you learn a lot in your first year and a half of development.

I genuinely enjoy those little romance-first moments and I think that's the biggest thing about "finding my style" as a writer. I want the lewd scenes to be ingrained in the story and not something that happens and we don't talk about it. Chapter 6 Part 1 will have a lot of that, so stay tuned!

It's sad if you play these games for the girls dawg
