OK, gave this another run today, more successfully! Was able to make a potion. Didn't know to click on the cauldron when the pieces were put in and tried to use the book to make a potion, but with no coin could not. Clicked on the cauldron and then got the potion, so could play. The tutorial didn't seem to mention clicking on the cauldron until after I had done so. Tower defense went well, running into minor issues with WASD directions, but that was on me. Passed the first set, and bought upgrades. Could not go on without potions and had to return to creation. Upgraded to lightning, fire and air, and then built those potions from the book. Ran into minor issue where I could not turn off the tower to find how to make the potions, but got that sorted out. Tower defense pathing worked like a charm for the enemies, and pleasantly surprised in the second round to see towers shooting. After 2 towers went down on the beach, I could not lower the camera and when I rotated it, I could see other sections of the board which were not used, so I got confused and the monsters went off the board. No biggie! I played a second time without the tutorial and was pleased I could not create lightning without buying it first, and was able to beat the first board with only air magic. Second board I still lost, but that's on me again. I was able to rotate the camera to see the missing parts of the board, but could not get enough mana to win, so that's on me. Great pathing, clear objectives in the tower defense. Moving other pieces (cups and things) was cool, but I didn't come to the part where it was helpful, so it was a bit confusing. Choosing the wrong things had no negative effect as the crystals were always there, so why not pull from an interface instead of moving and choosing and dropping? I like where this is going. Well done.
