this is a really good game. I was wondering if the characters are reincarnations from your other games, because they look kinda similar. I wouldn't know though haha. I played the demo and it was good but I think the full game really just builds on the premise really well. Amazing work from you and your team! I can only congratulate you guys.
When I was playing the game, I was a bit torn back and forth between what I wanted Rose to do ngl. I was like, "She should step away from him in her lives, so she isn't tortured by this cruel twist of fate", but then when she only suffered and became lifeless when he wasn't in her life, I rethought that and thought, "Well, if she's forced into this thing, then I guess a life with happiness that is ripped away from you is better than a life fully devoid of it." I thought that was the moral yknow. Like, no matter how painful losing love is, it's better to still love instead of running away from it.
But I was hoodwinked! hahahahaha
I didn't realize he was aware of the whole turn-back-time-thing and that he knew that she knew. that changes everything ofc. also explains why he suddenly presses his face into her shoulder in one of the earlier lives suddenly. I was confused, but now it makes sense.
But I guess that the more true lesson you're trying to impart onto us is that you have to move on from grief and that you can't keep on ruminating and lingering on this part of your life (which is her ten years between 16 and 26.) I was so confused, a theory was flying around in my head, maybe this was all a dream/mental breakdown/all in her head and she was still in her first life. because it kinda supports the pattern of what she's doing, continually returning to this love she had, going back again and again in her head to irritate her own wounds to cope. but the message from Cor kinda defeats that theory. idk man. lots of angles you could see this from.
last thing. the moment where I was like "this is good writing. superb. amazing (the lady gaga meme lolol.)" was close to the end of the game, the "choose yourself" ending when she rants about losing him and I'm like ooooh. it just seems so human and very realistic how she deals with it. It's ugly, she doesn't deal with grief well (i mean who does from the jump), she hurts others while she's hurting.
