Yeah there's a bit of a learning curve. I could probably start with a step-by-step tutorial helping describe the physics mechanic behind it. Once you get a feel for it, it gets easier. One of the strategies (assuming you don't have a pair in your hand) is to use card ratios to help balance. I.e. Placing a "2" in the 2nd column away from the centre, whilst placing a "4" in the 1st column away from the centre (on the other side of the scale) will maintain balance.
