Nice idea! Good little game for the jam :) Simple but effective!

Yeah there's a bit of a learning curve. I could probably start with a step-by-step tutorial helping describe the physics mechanic behind it. Once you get a feel for it, it gets easier. One of the strategies (assuming you don't have a pair in your hand) is to use card ratios to help balance. I.e. Placing a "2" in the 2nd column away from the centre, whilst placing a "4" in the 1st column away from the centre (on the other side of the scale) will maintain balance.
This is really cool! Really fun little game, easy to pick up. My high score was 129. Realised you could just reuse hand holds and just sit between two holds or retrace steps - main thing stopping getting higher was just randomness of dot placement. I think if you had a mechanism to prevent soft-lock (where all available hand holds are out of reach) that would be good. Then would be fun to introduce some other objects to avoid / pickup. Was there any difference between yellow vs white dots?
Here's mine: https://abot7.itch.io/card-scale-balance . It's my first ever game, so would love some feedback!
Hey - I created my first game for this jam (Card Scale Balance by abot7), which I'm pretty happy to get something together for, but I had some issues uploading to itch.io - namely the resolution of the canvas overlay is quite small vs what it's meant to be. In the itch.io version, the cards are really small. Can anyone help troubleshoot?
How it looks in itch.io web page:

How it's meant to look:

Note: I tried changing the resolution of the itch.io game, but making it larger actually moved the cards at the bottom & scoring system at the top outside the viewport. I didn't have enough time to run extra builds so had to accept it.
