Nice shorty! I grew up when home computers just got into the homes, so blocky graphics and jumpy movements is not blocker for me ;-) So, first of all, well done for the - I guess - one of your first games! :-)

If you are still motivated to continue _this_ project, I would recommend

  • Sound effects: when player and enemies move - think of pac man, sound for reaching candle (ta taaa), etc.
  • Music volume slider or toggle for on/off
  • A bit more intelligent enemy movement - right now they go (a) randomly and (b) also do _not_ move at all most of the time. Also: when you pass an enemy (ie, are next to it) then there should be some kind of danger involved - eg the enemy gets you with some probability or - even cooler: the enemy registers you and follows you for a short time (that way you must not go past it and end up in a dead end.
  • Add interesting elements in the level such as conveyor belts, one-way streets or doors, etc.

You are right. AI is an very interesting theme, and I am not good of it. Mye enemies are moving randomly! Yes, soon I will teach some AI and give it to my enemies. It's a project you push always before me
