The direct references to media felt a bit surreal, or rather so real that I felt like I tapped into unreality for a bit.
just as planned. i've mentioned this in other comments but i wanted this situation to feel like something that could feasibly happen in the real world. glad that came across.
your commentary on sunny and anita's faults are really good too. i don't see a lot of people mention this with anita, because she is by far the more sympathetic of the two girls... but i did want to make it clear that her doormat/people-pleasing tendencies made her situation a lot worse. i behave similarly, so i wanted her situation to be a warning for myself.
