Honestly, the artwork is incredible, but the gameplay itself did nothing for me.

The pace of the action in no way feels paced for how your character moves.  Everything your character does has long wind ups or is active for far too long to deal with everything being thrown at you immediately.  You're thrown into the deep end and there's no sense of scaling up of difficulty at all.  The game itself isn't really teaching through anything but failure.  It doesn't need a tutorial or anything, but I really feel like enemy types should be introduced and spaced out better for the player to actually be able to meaningfully react to them when they start coming in mixed waves.

The struggle mechanic takes way too long to get free from, and with the sluggishness of the movement, even with i-frames it's still pretty easy to get chain grabbed when multiple enemies are on the screen.

There's good ideas here, but I really feel like some parts of the game need to be re-evaluated or else it just gets bogged down in constant grabs.  Glad others seem to have enjoyed it, but it's a bit too unbalanced and frustrating for me.

Best of luck on development.
