Have you tried updating your GPU drivers to the latest version?
I don’t think this is related to your operating system.

Actually, because it's linux, my GPU drivers were wholly dependent on my kernel version. I made a post elsewhere, and realized I was running a significantly out of date version of Linux Mint, and thus a significantly out of date kernel, and out of date GPU drivers. I upgraded today, and the software works perfectly now. Thank you tho!
