alright! ill start with the positives. i think that the art is very nice! i like it a lot, the music fits the vibe and the theme in my opinion. the rush to try and manage both the currants and the orders was very fun! i also think the menu was very cute :). i also wanna point out that you really framed the game space good, the orders on top, the currants in the middle and the stuff you need for orders on the bottom. its very well made and i have to applaud you on that, the player looks at the order first then moves their eyes down and sees a currant and puts it in the jar and then makes the order. i also was very happy you added difficulty levels and thats a quality of life thing that many people would overlook.
i have quite a bit of feedback with this one. i was a little confused with why i should put the currants in the cup at first, i thought they were like stealing customers from me. i also think that what happens when you fail an order should be explained rather than just leaving it up to players interpretation of what they think will happen imo!
i think you could've added music to the bakery itself that sounded kinda rushy and desperate. mainly because that contributes to the overall gameplay loop in a positive way in my opinion.
i think that progression and expanding the gameplay beyond one session could greatly benefit the game. like my main thing is that the game felt a bit too short. of course its a game jam, i cant entirely expect a game to be too long or for you to over scope. im pointing this out here because i think that a small incentive to restart at the very least could make it a very addicting and rewarding experience if you chose to continue this project. you could def implement this in a not too hard way with customers.
i actually do think also that the difficulty is kinda easy? like for instance i didnt really feel punished very much by missing customer orders. it felt like i could just tank some of the customer orders if i really needed to. i think hard difficulty maybe should spike difficulty a little more. you could also just maybe make it so that if you miss a certain amount of customers maybe your bakery tanks.
i think that the art style isn't super consistent? this is more of a nitpick because i think it does still blend together quite well in the end.
this is a game i truly see potential in, i see it very easily being able to be improved on and becoming an addictive game! good job and good work!!! if you continue this please let me know because i honestly would like to follow this game if it continues, i genuinely did enjoy it.
