I totally get where you’re coming from. It’s frustrating to see the industry stuck in a loop of ‘Drunken Dwarf’ tropes while other rich fantasy archetypes, especially Elves, are pushed to the background or treated as mere side characters. 10 years of the same aesthetic—beards, axes, and underground mines—can definitely lead to burnout. The irony is that while devs think they are playing it safe with a 'proven' race, they are actually alienating a huge chunk of players who are craving the grace, magic, and unique storytelling that an Elf-centric game could provide. We’re definitely overdue for a high-budget, immersive Elven RPG
Viewing post in I'm really getting tired of dwarves in gaming
i agree, not to mention people are already tired of this childish and boring trope, all the games on dwarves I see fail badly and nobody plays them. it's also quite stupid to make a game on dwarves when you see all the competition out there, it would be much safer to try something on elves, you would not only have zero competition but please so many people. And yes we do need massive elf centered games not just small ones
Admit it Roma, you created the account marry_jane just to agree with yourself. Or are we to believe that someone organically created their account and posted for the first time and just happened to be in this thread and coincidentally mentioned elves which you already mentioned several times?
Go make an elf game already lol
