I really enjoyed reading this. The metaphor of the cicada's life cycle as a personal awakening is beautiful, and I found the writing very evocative. The progression from hibernation, to Molting, to finally screaming and flying creates a powerful emotional rhythm.
That said, I found myself a little unsure about how to actually play it. The opening questions gave me a direction, but afterwards the game became more of a guided narration, and I wasn't always sure what I, as the player, was expected to do.
I think I would have loved a little more interaction with the process. For example, writing down memories from the last thirteen years, reflecting on who I was before I "fell asleep," or exploring how rediscovering those forgotten parts of myself changes the person I am today. I wanted to engage more actively with the transformation instead of only reading it.
Still, I think it's a beautiful and thoughtful piece, and I really appreciated the way you used the cicada's Molt as a metaphor for personal growth.
