Hi! See if you could play my game: https://itch.io/jam/brainless-game-jam/rate/4782985

I have tried to enter jams before (3 times before), but I never managed to submit earlier. Worse, the first 2 times, I didn't manage to even start, as no idea seemed "perfect", or the scope of it all in my head intimidated me.

I was more determined this time, and also, I had just learned about pico 8. I hadn't coded in 15 years since I left college, and in the previous jams I was always trying to get away with no code tools, but this time I decided to actually hand code, and I think that made a difference. So much of the fun was just for my mind to open back up in those old ways, creating algorithms, writing data structures and just putting a puzzle together. And pico 8 does help in making us not increase the scope much. (And yet I spent 50% of the time just on my ship's look and animations 😅)
Another helping factor was that I had always wished to include my brother in the project with me, he has a mind for music which I simply don't.
And of course we had a good time catch up to Odyssey adaptations as part of our "research", and got us prepped for the coming movie so that was its own joy!

So yeah, my story is that of someone who wished to run and cross the finishing line.

Wow, i also joined jams before but never submitted until now. I started coding at 9, but never made a game before this.

Also, the ship looks amazing. Well, the art itself is amazing :)  You did well in the retro style

My sister helped me in the proyect making most of the art!
