During work sessions, 16 random cards appear. When a card is clicked, if you didn't have the item it showed, you get a negative effect, which is losing some xp. Getting too many negative cards also affects total earnings for that work session.

Try to make sure you stay stocked on items to prevent the negative cards from appearing! The 'restock' shop is where you can find those items.

Before you try combat, make sure to spend your level 1 SP (skill points) at the level up menu!

Usually DEX is a good idea. It helps your golems land their attacks.

Next is STR, as it also affects your golem's dmg output.

Avoid fighting non-food enemies at low levels. They attack HP instead of Hunger.

I recommend fighting yellow foes (they have a yellow name) until you get enough levels as your golem's orange element is effective against them.

How do I choose to fight only food enemies? It picks a random enemy to join the enemy I fight when I click fight. And how DO i gain weight or fatten others? Like, is it level? Plot progress?

After choosing an enemy to fight, the 2nd one is always random. At level 1, spending a point or 2 in HP should help keep Sonny alive against non-food foes.

Outside of battle, you can right-click to open the main menu. There, next to Sonny's name, you can see his current weight.

In zones with NPC interactions, you can also see NPC's weight in this menu.

Each character's hunger is affected by their  level. NPCs also automatically scale to Sonny's level.

Through the inventory,  burgers from the restaurant shop can be used on characters  to directly increase weight.  Also, when you start a new day, units gain weight based on how filled their hunger was.

At 140lbs , 220, 420 and 640, units will go up a weight stage
