During the first psychology lecture after the transformation, the professor mentions that 'females can't be pregnant with offspring from multiple mates,' but that wouldn't be a problem for most non-mammals, and even within mammals, dogs, for example, can have a litter with multiple fathers.


That lecture is pretty outdated in general, actually. There's a huge focus on evolutionary psychology, a field which is largely considered to be a pseudoscience now, and it also claims that autism is more common among men than women. That is not true; as with many similar cases, the diagnostic criteria were developed by studying men, and it often just presents differently. In fact, most developmental disorders are equally common among men and women, but often improperly diagnosed among women.
