I don’t know what to criticize first, I know it’s just a demo but this game is so scuffed and has multiple questionable game design choices.

The controls off the jump are jagged for the character we play as in every section; Blocking is a completely useless mechanic as the bosses (and some parts of the normal levels) have tons of unblockables that discourage you from using it.

The elephant enemies and drone shooters in 1-3 blend in way too well with the environment, making them genuinely hard to see as they camoflauge with the background while attacking from the foreground, and the price to pay for not seeing that is a strict 1/3rd of your healthbar in the shoot ‘em up sections for some reason (seriously in my opinion the health-bars should either stick to the ones in the beat-em-up sections or have more I-frames entirely, this Mario 1 ass health system makes chain-attacks fatal with little I-frames)

And the second boss…my god the second boss. I don’t think it’s as bad as everyone says but it definitely needs a bit of tuning. Lower the HP by a magnitude and drop the insta-kills, she grows very repetitive despite her gimmicks very quickly and her moveset is literally unreadable and more of her attacks should be blockable. Also like the comment below me says she camoflauges insanely well in the last map making her basically transparent. Please fix all of these and balance this part of the game.

Also just a personal suggestion but please scrap all boss dialogue mid-fight or heavily tone it down, it’s distracting and unfocused and hard to read in the middle of a hectic bossfight.
