"Sadly"? Goodness, why do people feel the need to act like it's a terrible thing (or apologise for) that a protag is female (not "feminine") only? Particularly for a series that is actual Otome? Have some self-respect, for goodness sake.
I would never apologize for my decision, since it's supposed to be based on the original, which has Yui as the female MC. Buuut, I noticed that a lot of visual novels nowadays have customization. So, from a dev standpoint, I can recognize that it's a bit less freedom for the player.
