i rly liked being able to see snapshots of aliska and sasha growing up together; a part of me jealously wishes i could've had, and been able to cling to, an adult for safety like that too.
the ending was beautiful, honest. i really loved this story <3
Ehehehee, cigarette smoke is a really nostalgic scent for me too. I'm happy the approach of giving just a few glimpses over time came across well.
