was drawn to it as a fellow writer of "toxic yuri about fandom culture" but it was interesting to see your vn tackle the topic from a different axis (one of shipping/how a fan perceives a fictional character and how that perception may (not) overlap with their real-life desires.)

the overall writing and prose was solid. dialogue between sarah and her family (and graye, of course) reads realistically. i especially loved the conversations between sarah/skiff and bun though — i know what its like to frantically browse reddit/twitter/etc after a new chapter drops also the bit where its clear sarah is like, invested in the work as a whole whereas bun is only interested in the shipping was on-point. god i know i would not gel well with bun bc i am a lorehead for things i get into.
at the end of the day, though, it was sad (though suitable) to see sarah's arc conclude with her running away from her actual desire for graye — both metaphorically and literally — and continuing to live in shame of her interests in the real world. cutting herself off from the infinity sailor fandom entirely — including blocking bun. the scene where she tore graye to pieces with her hands was great and quite visceral. the scene where graye undressed to swim also had me feeling some way. .... and the title screen image turning into the pile of papers that used to be graye's body... :
