I really liked this one, and for the story it is one of the best entries. Some of the pacing is really slow, especially in the beginning, but it knows what it wants to say. Every character is well written, but as others pointed out, it has some anachronistic tendencies. But... doesn't everyone?
The visual style is very charming, backgrounds and characters alike.
...the pup comment at the end soothed my soul, I always hated that name. I actually jumped out of my chair with joy when I saw it. Good boy > pup.
The theme is plain as day, and constantly reinforced throughout the reading.
Overall, it was a very satisfying read! With Hyrax I had to read it again to really get it, but not this story. Really well done!
