The reading caused me to spiral into a depressive episode. I wrote about it, but instead I'll write about the novel.

The theme isn't always focused on, but there's something to be said about huffing the ashes of one. It's, like... if no one else can stand with you and breathe awfully, well, why are we even here?

Why am I even here, drooling over the warm nothing... Well, it's because... I don't think I have much else. Everything's just falling apart and I want to hold this little ember. You see it, right? Please say yes.

Never liked DnD. Always thought it was so fragile. Like I could see the ending from the moment it started, and that's definitely reflected in the writing. Every character can see it, even if they don't want it. That decay.

The presentation is stunning, and the little moments of grayscale when the immersion breaks is lovely, and real.

It's so real.
