Hey, those having the issue, please remember to download part1 and part2 of the game. Then you extract part1, making sure part2 is in the same folder. Itch limits the game files size to 1gb so had to do it that way.
OK, here's what I did. I downloaded parts 1 and 2 and they came up as .rar files. Then I extracted both of them using BreeZip. Then the folders appeared. Then I put the part 2 folder INTO the part 1 folder, opened the part 1 folder and extracted again. And the application file did show up! Hooray! But then I clicked on that application file, like I would for any other game, and nothing is happening. It doesn't execute... So what's the problem here? I'm not having this problem with any other game.
