Remember that you have a PC link in your pokegear! Back-to-back isn't terrible if you've been capturing more than 6 Pokemon, which is what I'm really trying to push.
Luckily, it shouldn't take much to get them battle ready!! If you haven't found the Viridian City Market yet, I highly recommend heading back there with a Control type - I think that will be extremely helpful.
