Hi! I'm planning to make things a little easier for beginners, the first run is the hardest, especially if you choose to take care of 2 digimon at the same time.
Right now the first run can be cruel if you make mistakes that the game doesn't even tell you. If you're in a real trouble you can press the sd card icon in the first screen of the game to reset your progress, you will start again with the initial bits and resources, except you will reset the progress you made through adventure, your digimon will still be there safe for you.
My recommendation is to avoid battle in the first days of your digimon, it will probably struggle, put your digimon to sleep at night so he will wake up with full energy to train the next day, then you can try to go to the Jungle Troopers adventure route and try to recruit Palmon to the city, she enables the digifarm where you can harvest food. Later you can recruit even more digimon to easy your way in the digifarm and other facilities

Thanks for the tips. As your suggestion, I've reset my progress and a bit relief as now I've learned to not overfeed my digimon. Can you recommend what should I do next? For now I just keep training and battling to gain bits. And what should I do to avoid care mistakes? My digimon is Vegiemon, resulting from a Palmon with 5 care mistakes. Now I got 0 mistakes but I feared that I may repeating mistakes that I never realized before.

Avoid training your digimon while it is exausted (no stamina), or hungry.
Avoid battling with your digimon hungry.
Don't take too much to clean it's poop, if he refuses to take a bath clean it mannually by tapping the poop.
Don't take too much to attend your Digimon when it demands attention.

I need to evolve to AncientIrismon from Lilimon which requires SPD and high discipline. How do I increase the discipline with praising and scolding dynamic?
