Great idea to change mood system, and to add small interactions. It looks more like dungeon crawler with exploration, raids and map research. And i might admit, this regions remind me of Made in Abyss series, with expeditions and surviving aspects.

It wasn't inspiration at all, it might not make sense, but my main inspirations are darkest dungeon and fallout, the main idea was making the exploration and events in the surface, but making it underground made more sense for the story, I would have loved finding this map before and using it as a reference for mine instead of the mario world maps I ended up using as reference lol
