Hello again folks!

I wanted to again congratulate all participants for all their hardwork throughout June on the Speedgame Challenge. Kris Murray, Coordinator of the Community Games, and the team behind them, would like to select one of the winners and turn that entry into the next community game project.

For those in the Top 5, do you give permission, if your game is chosen, to allow the community team to expand and develop it for full release? If Yes and your game is chosen, Kris and the team will reach out and discuss any particulars as well as answer any questions you may have!

I'd be down to have my game be a community game

Hello!  I'll say "yes, but..."  Some of the art and audio assets I used are royalty-free ones I've personally obtained through various bundle sales, so they cannot be used as is due to the licensing.  However, either I could be involved, at least peripherally, with the Community Game and thus the assets can be used as is through me, or the assets could easily be recreated by members of the Community Game team and disconnect the game from the royalty-free assets (which I'd recommend in general :) ).

Would any Speedgame entry chosen be built on top of the existing codebase, or would it be started from scratch and mainly focus on replicating and expanding on the game design, mechanics, and aesthetic?

That's a good question that Kris could expand on and clarify best.
