I really like how grounded the game would be because of your use of real-world gardening data and local Tucson ecology! Also the emphasis on helping players understand sustainable gardening while still creating an enjoyable farming gameplay experience. One thing I'd be curious about though is what kinds of events or gameplay moments will keep each playthrough feeling new beyond optimizing crops and resources?

That's a great question! The base game should have enough randomness within bounds based on historical and projected data for playthroughs to vary, but there are still going to be certain choices that will tend to be more successful in the harsh desert environment than others. That's part of the learning experience from a serious game (including for me). If I have time, I'll add some additional options that will provide more variability, like various rainwater harvesting options - maybe even a greenhouse or aqua/hydroponics, but I'm not likely to have time for those things before the end of the jam.
