How does the patreon work? Which tier gets me the full game and do I have to continually pay every month for the full game or just once? Sorry, just not familiar with the patreon model for games.

In Patreon, every major update is treated as a separate project. So, if you suscribe now, you will get the most recent version of the game and you will have it forever. But if you want to access future major updates, you will have to be suscribe in the future too!
