This really manages to read a lot like old christian stories. On the other hand, it reads a lot like old christian stories. I think it succeeds in doing what it set out to do, but I didn’t really vibe with the writing and subject matter. The folklore theme is quite apparent, first because the inspirations are mentionned in the credits, and second because the VN looks like folklore itself.
The NVL mode quite fit the story and was well implemented. I really liked the colored dialogue. The click-to-continue icon was maybe a bit too big and distracting. I liked how the present scenes are blurry to represent the MC’s declining vision. However, I fail to think of a reason for the guard in the past to only be a silhouette, oh well. The music and the background fit well.
Overall, it’s really well made and the problems I have with it are mostly very subjective. Great job!
