hey! after exploring, i thought i’d go ahead and come back with some more additional, hopefully useful, information
the screenshot is as worse as it gets. if you noticed, it’s using the CRT filter option. here is what it looks like without it:
i can’t ACTUALLY tell if its 1.0 or 1.0.1 anymore, and i don’t remember when it last said 1.0, but it happened atleast 4 months after i remember “1.0”
even if you delete the Godot data and steam game files (also having to verify the integrity to get the game files back), the buggy graphics STILL appear.
i don’t know if this happens to anyone else. i just posted this when i saw this.
audio still plays as regular, meaning it only affects the visuals.
most frames stay on the screen, unless something new appears, creating a “hall of mirrors” effect.
before the game starts, the entire screen becomes gray. i don’t think this is supposed to happen, or at least, i don’t remember it.
Very interesting, I haven't been able to replicate it directly myself, but I am looking into the issue to try and figure out why it might be happening and if there's any odd dependencies that cause this to happen, hopefully I can have to resolved when the new release drops, fingers crossed it's nothing too in-depth that might require rewriting something big
i just loaded into the game today, and it seems to have fixed itself. the graphics are completely fine, and not buggy with all the colors all over the place anymore.
also, now that it’s fixed, i want to mention that the game does not say v1.0.1 in the corner. i was looking at SteamDB.info way before all of this started happening and it says there was an update on the 16th of February, which is when i believe v1.0.1 was supposed to be out.
