This is so fun! Art style, game play, and opportunity for story sounds really promising. I like the educational aspect as well, and am looking forward to seeing how you implement it. Will there be a little notebook of all the facts you learn and will there be recurring NPCS (or is the focus predominately on the plants)? A game I am remembering that could be helpful to gleam inspiration from is Potionomics.
