This sounds like a really interesting game! So is the player submitting plants and then the game gives feedback if it helped the ecosystem or not; or is it more like a simulation of an ecosystem where they insert a plant and see how it performs? That is, does the player see the ecosystem or are they just communicating via email with customers? I didn’t see a specific loss condition, other than creating a wrong kind of plant, but maybe you can also talk about invasive species by letting the player create something that just destroys everything else. Sounds like a fun mechanic and interesting way to teach about grafting (I hadn’t heard of it before). I’m excited to play it! Good luck!

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback! You make really good questions regarding our gameplay systems. We will answer those in this early prototyping stage hopefully. Right now, our idea is to show the player the ecosystem for them to have a clear idea (visually) of what they are dealing with, but we have several backup plans depending on scope.  The invasive species idea is something that crossed our minds and might be the right direction to go for a more powerful call to action about native flora. Thank you for taking the time to comment
