They're necessary sometimes and good to have but I don't feel that badly written code should be open sourced


And I don't think this exact source code is good enough to be released

Meh, was worth a shot asking i guess. I love the engine and honestly even its current 1.11 dev version is honestly the best engine for anyone interested in making retro fps games. Wild that there werent really many other options out there despite how popular the genre is.

Yeah, well, templates for Godot exist. I mean, it's a bigger (maybe a LOT bigger) learning curve but it's still there.

There were many attempts in russian community actually. EFPSE is just the only one that survived long enough to be released.

I was too stubborn to let it go I guess.

Also, versions after 1.6 (meaning CE versions) weren't made by me but by Clark who is updating it now. So all credits for those go to him )
