The first ten levels, each one is massive in terms of stat growth. If you feel like you need to grind a bit, just go cast chilling moonlight on ghouls in the deep woods to rack up easy flawlesses. Even a couple of levels will feel huge.

Also, in general against the witches, Purge (holy magic spell 3) does a ton of damage with no setup. Everytime the witch cleanses sanction, you can do a full power Purge again, as it’s enhanced by the enemy not being under sanction, and you want to keep the demon’s sanctioned anyway. For damage, sky magic is good at lower levels for the MP regen, and you don’t have to consume auras to get good damage, so it has sustained damage output once you get it running, and you can start a rainstorm before the fights to set yourself up without need to waste turns on RNG trying to get it to rain. Later in the game or at higher levels primal magic is probably the best school for damage output, but you do need to more carefully manage its auras.

You can also just explore and do quests. You’ll eventually unlock primal, nightsea, and time magic, more mantras, more daggers, and you’ll naturally level up over time. (I don’t know how far along you are, I just assume you haven’t done a lot of stuff if you’re only level 3, but it’s possible you just didn’t get many battled due to RNG, I guess).
