Pretty cool idea, and the main mechanics are actually interesting. I played for a bit and I can see the loop working, but after a while it does start to feel a little repetitive.
My first suggestion would be the movement — I think WASD support would make it feel much better. I kept wanting to move with W, A, S, D instead of only the current controls.
Still, nice work overall. The concept has potential, it just needs a bit more variety to keep it fresh longer.
