gorgeously written, artistically cohesive, i absolutely loved the snark and play between the characters and it did a phenomenal job of creating its own little world. but. great googly moogly 832 mb???? i cannot fuck a new hole into my ancient laptops storage to make room for this one like i do other favorites, but i would if i could. i guess all things are fleeting. thank you so much for sharing,
HAHA thank you so much and yeah the file size is insane, this was after converting all the gifs so webp because previously I couldn't even upload to itch bc 1GB file limit but the kicker is that the biggest problem is just the final act's 2 wibbling water animations that previously were 1GB combined.
the issue is that water animations in anything are astoundingly enormous! I'm not sure of the technical details but the engine I used (Tuesday js) has rare animated image support, and the animated bg has to be a image file and not a movie file because the text boxes can't be superimposed upon a movie file like they can upon an image file.
tl;dr the 2 animated bgs of heartbreak and wibbling at the end singlehandedly bloated the file because I wanted to make them wet meow and wet ouppy
