It's okay, I only know because I have a friend who's an out-and-proud lesbian and somebody started trying to use it as an insult. Most people (especially LGBTQ+) don't take it as that but some people (like homophobes) do

I know I was never a part of this conversation, but I know how it feels. IΒ΄m part of the community, and IΒ΄ve had so many people try to use my sexuality (bi) as a joke right in front of me. I brush it off, but when my friends do it, I know they don't mean anything, considering theyΒ΄re part of it too!
