Hi Garry,  I have the book by the author of the game but hadn't read it yet! I really enjoyed playing and solving it. I started making a map but soon realised I could manage without it. It is a very clever, tightly crafted and well thought out adventure which is fun to play. The game recognises the standard adventure commands and I had no problems getting the game to understand what I wanted. I liked that there was an UNDO feature if you failed or made a mistake. Puzzles are not too difficult but not too easy. On a couple of occasions I had to pause and think a little before understanding what was probably needed to be done. I have to admit it took me ages to finally twig how to open the trapdoor in the Elder's hut. I had overlooked something really obvious - so that held me up for a while - but I was determined to complete it, and despite a red herring that foxed me a bit, I was happy to defeat the wizard and win the game in about two hours gameplay on this Saturday afternoon.

Well done on programming the game from the book and making  it available  publicly.

Regards, catventure.

PS. I played the online  version in Chrome browser and the save/restore worked fine. :)

Thank you. When you read the book, I'd be interested to see what you think of all the additions I made, as there are quite a few, but I tried to retain the spirit of the original. (I'll bet that red herring was gold coloured.)
