Lane feels TOO REAL. He is an asshole, but then he has his charming almost soft moments, and then he says something else misogynistic and/or homophobic and it's like ah. that's right, you suck.
It's fairly clear there is a reason he acts the way he does, and a lot of it seems to stem from his parents (particularly his mother's preferential treatment of his sister) but holy shit every time he starts talking about women I want to snap his neck lmao
Yeah! HAHA That's the main issue, I'm always trying get past that but he talks shit nonstop 😆😆 there's not even a soft moment from him that last long enough for me to bond with him in any way OMG like everything about him is treating us like trash, if we care for him he says we're manipulating him, if we accept a date he says he's doing charity, if we defend BB he get jealous and tell us we're basically S**** 😭 I know he will get better but at thisnpoint he's just a bad person and not just because of the time period. BB Has so many red flags, he seems violent, mysogynistic because of his upbringing, etc. But he does have good stuff you can get to love. Lane is gonna make me go bald from stressing out. EXACTLY!!! Like ngl even if BB ends up trying to kidnap us or something at least I had fun before!!! At least he was sweet and cute and even if he made some weird jokes it was always with this awkward sense of "i genuinely don't know any better and am trying to change because i understand that my opinions are flawed". Yeahhh! That's the thing, at least we had fun with him. I think I could tolerate Lane more if he had more nice moments. When I tell you I TRIED to play Lane's route and I couldn't because I didn't like him at all. He had nothing to offer 😭 NOTHIIING. Like Werner literally came back after his shift AT NIGHT to help us, waited in the rain to takes us home, fixed the door, would NEVER leave us out cold in the rain. Literally, BB is a man, Lane is just a kid. Will I try to play Lane's route again? Yeah HAHAHA but I had to take some days off from him 🤣 The author's good writing can't go to waste.
The author is so good at writing EXACTLY the kind of douchebag guys from back then! You CANNOT be nice to Lane because he will deflect and dodge and then make fun of you for caring and it's like. MC honey pleaseeeeee kick this man in the knees and stop giving him chances! He sucks! Every scene w him is like 90% him being a dick and then, 9% yapping, and then 1% he might say something nice and kind of mature.
Same, I'm gonna try and get through Lane's route fully but hhhhh I think I might have to watch Hello Yinny's video first because having to read his bullshit by myself makes me wish I could teleport into this game and strangle him lmao
