I feel like I must be a dummy, I can't see any files in the text UI and I can't interact with anything or see any video happen in the 3D scene with the two people. What am I doing wrong?

That's strange. What platform are you on? Also are there no files at all in the file browser area? You should be able to start the game with one.

I'm on Windows. Did I need to do something during the intro sequence with the dialog fragments? I can uninstall and reinstall and try again...

The intro is mostly cosmetic. What should happen after that is you get into the room, and then you press the minus button in the top left of the window to get to the browser view. A tutorial about that should've popped up.

I've just tested on another device. It should fix itself if you clear your save data in the options and restart the game. I was unaware that the file only appeared after that.

I've uploaded a fixed version but you shouldn't have to re-download if you try out what's above.

Having the same experience on Mac; I installed the game via the itch.io client.

What happens exactly? Do you just get stuck in the first level where you're walking around and can see the two people? What should happen is a tutorial should pop up that tells you to press the minus button to access the UI dashboard (or you press the minus button independently).

I did that, and it took me to the UI dashboard, but there weren't any files in the file browser.
