Thanks for letting me know! It is currently set up to accept finger taps if touchscreen is enabled which would disable the doubleclick from pc.

Are you using a pc that also has touchscreen by any chance? If so, i can fix that and upload a new version.

If its not that, did you download the file or were you running it from itch.io's run in browser option?

I don't have a touchscreen, and I downloaded the file. The itch.io browser version doesn't create nodes either, actually, just checked.

Thanks for sticking with it. I have added a new version to the download options to try to get it working for you if you still wish to try it out or help me debug. Download PDC2-v2.01-diagnostic.html

It includes:

less brittle empty-canvas targeting for double-click node creation
desktop double-click no longer disabled just because the browser reports touch capability
Shift+D toggles node-creation debug logging (copy this and send it back here if it's still giving you trouble)
